    Gillow Casework Restored
    Published in February 2009

Burt Bleasedale (84), last remaining, working French polisher from Wareing and Gillows, assisted by his apprentice, Michael (21) worked alongside Stan Gribbin (Scofields) decorators to fully restore the priceless (quote BBC Antiques Roadshow 2007) carved Gillow oak case and decorate the facade pipes.

The work was completed in November 2008 and John Scott Whitely, organist or York Minster, played the re-instatement recital in the presence of the Lord Mayor of Lancaster and many other notable guests.
